Paintings of dancers on pieces of a drum, installed in a dance circle
which itself is inspired by and paying homage to the spirit of the Modoc
dance ring in Lava Beds National Monument in Northern California.
Oil paint and a polymer clay on a broken, hand carved wooden drum with
bricks, sand, and earth
